In 2003 a vision was cast before our church by one of its members for a free clothes closet to help meet the needs of the community.  The "closet" was opened in the basement of that same member of the BreakPointe church and up until late 2006 has been a vital compassionate ministry to many people in our community. 

However, due to the enormous need, the basement was just not big enough to hold all the resources so we decided to move the closet...but where?  We had no space in the church for such a venture.  After weeks of searching we were able to secure a retail space just 1/2 block east of the church.

Today, the Family Clothes Closet, located at 9627 W. 87th Street in Overland Park, Kansas (just to the east of the Central Resource Library of Johnson County) continues to meet the needs of individuals and families in our community by providing free, slightly used clothing.  And since we are in a retail space we are also open to the public enabling us to sell slightly used clothing at reasonable prices to help us off-set the cost of our rent and utilities.

The clothes closet welcomes clothing donations during the normal operating hours of Tuesday - Thursday, 10:00am - 5:00pm and Saturdays 10:00am - 4:00pm.
