The purpose of this web page is to communicate the progress and direction of BreakPointe and its people.  Listed below is a time line of events.  Please be sure to check this page for regular updates on the progress we are having in fulfulling our Vision/Mission...To lead as many people as possible to become fully devoted followers of Christ.

While many wonderful people have come to enjoy BreakPointe as their church home and their needs are currently being met, we continue to pursue our full God-given potential. As a result, your church board is working with a local church consulting firm to help move BreakPointe's vision forward to new levels of significance.

The newly-established BreakPointe "Vision Advancement Team" (the church board along with Pastor Tom and Administrator Pat Rider) has adopted a theme for the current process underway:

"Following God's leadership: Advancing BreakPointe Community Church

From Success to Significance."

The team's mission is to pray, gather vital information, pray, analyze the data collected, pray, and seek God's plan for BreakPointe's immediate and long-term future.

June 10, 2007

All-Church Town Hall Meeting.  Survery results were presented to the congregation.

At this annual meeting the congregation unanimously voted "yes" on the following measures that were recommended by the church board (AKA Vision Advancement Team):

1.  That we begin the process of a Capital Stewardship Campaign for the purpose of raising funds to expand our current facility here at BreakPointe.
2.  That we pursue and secure the services of an Architectural Firm for the purpose of designing a future building addition for BreakPointe.

**These recommendations do not authorize the church board to break ground but just to raise funds and design a new building.

June 27, 2007
Church Board interviewed and hired The Church Development Foundation (TCDF) to manage our Capital Stewardship Campaign.

July 1 - August 8, 2007
Church board interviewed three building contractors and three architectural firms.  Decision to hire is pending.

July 27 - August 3, 2007
Capital Stewardship surveys conducted by TCDF.

July 29, 2007 - Survey Recomandation and Action Plan released to the congregation

August 14, 2007

Vision Advancement Team completed architect and construction interview process.  Decisions regarding the award of contacts is pending the board meeting on August 23.

August 23, 2007

Harmon Construction and Mantel Teter Architect awarded contracts by the church board.

September 16, 2007

Organizational Meeting to develop leadership for the Capital Stewardship Campaign.

September 17, 2007

Ministry team "Dream Night" with the architect where we got to shoot for the stars on building design and content.

October 6 - November 12

Informational Q&A dinner and breakfast meetings with the Pastor.  Also during this time frame the Vision Advancement Team met with the architect and developed a "Master Site Plan" as well as Phase 1 plans.  These plans will be unveiled on November 18 during our Celebration Sunday service at 10:00am.
